I don't think if the series transfers well to the big screen. There are plots within plots. Great books but I don't know if movies are a good medium for this story. Its been tried before.

Dune csfd. So glad I found this version. Thank you for this, and returning narration to the Princess Irulan. I never could take to that chap doing it, until I saw what you did with those parts. This is the definitive edition of the film. So many great actors and actresses in this film, shame they never attempted the other books. Other than a few noticeable, by today's standards, this film reminds me that practical effects and lots of extras makes for a better 'look' than CGI, but this film could do with a little CGI uplift and maybe an update on all the creatures. Impossible wishes but a pipe dream! I know it's more of an inspired by the books film, even though this version is closer, but for the time that was the only film there is. The series was fine, but a bit PG and due to limited budgets t played out like a stage production. That's ok and I like that we have both, but want more and an up to date version closer to the books in a multi film or Netflix series (they have the willingness to spend money.
